More than three thousand people have already seen the travelling exhibition on the Basilica entitled “Gaudí and the Sagrada Família. An inside experience” at the Espacio Cultural del Monasterio de San Martín Pinario, headquarters of the Major Seminary of Santiago de Compostela. The exhibition was inaugurated on 5 June in an event featuring The Most Reverend the Lord Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela, Julián Barrio, and The Most Reverend the Lord Archbishop of Barcelona, Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella. It opened to the public the following day. The exhibition will be in Santiago through 30 September.
“Gaudí and the Sagrada Família. An inside experience” gives visitors a visual, attractive experience of the Temple and its genius architect. It allows them to tour the Basilica, highlighting the architect’s symbolism and sources of inspiration, and gives a general overview of Gaudí’s work and the importance of his contributions to the world of architecture.
The exhibition has arrived in Santiago de Compostela after its time in Zaragoza and then at Gaudí’s Palace in Astorga, where it welcomed 23,000 visitors.
